ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Soul Gardening Journal is a printed, paper journal written by women, for women, bringing to your mailbox handmade beauty.
The journals are small enough to be tucked into a purse or diaper bag so they can be held and read while nursing a child, sitting in a waiting room, or sipping some tea. Journal pages are filled with reflections, poems and prayers, short engaging articles and original artwork.
OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT
Published under the patronage of our Lady of Nazareth, Soul Gardening Journal is crafted to express the beauty of womanhood, the sacredness to be found in the everyday, and the power of making our lives a living prayer. Written by women, for women, we strive towards a more unplugged and intentional life in the heart of the Incarnation.
WHO IT’S FOR
We invite all women of good will to be a part of this community. While this is a Catholic space, this is an open door of hospitality which is at the heart of this mission.
Soul Gardening Journal celebrates the extraordinary in the ordinary, the simple, lovely things in life, and the value, dignity and uniqueness of Woman, made by God.
We are a small group of Catholic artists who are striving toward a more unplugged life and to live a little more slowly and intentionally, nourishing the relationships and the reality before us in our immediate lives.
As we live out the “duty of the moment”, we believe in the sacredness to be found in the everyday moments and in the power of making our lives a living prayer.
our values
THE CREW
Our team is so happy to serve the Soul Gardening community. We do our best to print a couple of issues each year—we all donate our time and have busy family lives, but find such joy in nurturing this community through the journal.

"People say, what is the sense of our small effort? They cannot see that we must lay one brick at a time, take one step at a time. A pebble cast into a pond causes ripples that spread in all directions. Each one of our thoughts, words and deeds is like that. No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless. There is too much work to do." -Dorothy Day
